Project Scope

The objective of this project was to create a brand from the begining while also expanding it with another aspect of design, which i chose to be UI/UX. The UI/UX I decided was a shopping app to pair with this project.

Mobile App

This is the app design and function. You'll see the function of this app and how I designed it to be as efficient as possible to ensure the user can quickly navigate to their chosen pieces of clothing. You'll also see how I used low fidelity wireframes to first layout my apps design and then high fidelity to place all necessary images before handling functionality.

Challenge & Solution

The challenges I faced when creating this brand was how to pair a minimalistic design with modern illustrations. This created the challenge of how to stand out from other brands while maintaining and pushing Oaklines own style

To solve this problem, I searched for and compared the competition of the most trending and popular clothing brand for teens. After that i hand illustrated a design which is found on the back of hoodies and t-shirts to give the oakline clothing brand its own visual style. As for the app I made sure to simplify the navigation in comparisson to other brands to help users find what they're looking for quickly and efficiently.

Takeaway

What I learned from this project is that creating a clothing brand alongside a companion app requires strong time management skills while also making sure not only the clothing but also the digital aspects of this project are staying consistent with brand guidlines.
